Are Internet Cafes safe for transacting online (bills payment, online purchase, etc...)? The answer is... IT DEPENDS! Some internet cafes have keylogging software hidden in their gaming stations that users didn't have any idea that they are being hacked already. Some of these softwares even have screenshot capability that cafes can use to sometimes blackmail users.
That is a sad reality... but we can take steps to prevent this!
1. Ask your nearest Netcafe or Computer shop if they have a software called Deep Freeze installed. Deep Freeze is a software that does not allow users to save data permanently in the computer. When a computer is restarted it returns back to the original settings. So if they don’t have it installed... be very concerned!
2. Make sure that the internet cafe shows their CPU or have easy access to the back part so you can see if a PS2 or USB keylogger is present. But mind you, this is just for safety measures because one of these bad boys casts around P3000 to P4500 per station. So i guess net cafes won’t be spending money on a device that will record Facebook login ID and passwords.

3. Make sure that you don't click the "Save Password" or check the "Keep me Logged In" while browsing
4. Lastly, be responsible and be very careful of the data that you give out online. The internet always has a disclaimer... "Anything you give out is all your fault." Make sure that you are aware of any repercussions of all your actions!
