I was just a sub for a friend that can't make it to the event and the moment that he told me it's Honda, I didn't think twice. I was riding motorcycles since I was 12 years old and featuring and writing about one of your passions is very fulfilling.
I arrived a little late (around 1:20PM) at Bonifacio High Street but good thing Karen for SLG - Ads texted me that the event was moved to 3PM. I roamed around and saw people in Honda uniforms placing the motorcycles in their respective places. I was able to mingle and take pictures with the Honda staff at the event.

Registration of Riders |
I registered in the blogger's registration sheet and was advised that the freebies will be given at the end of the event. They gave the Italianni's Snack Stub and a sticker that has my name and our domain, imbamanila.com in it.
After registering, I tried to roam around and saw some dudes (well they look like the type that will ask you "hey dude") on Scoopy standees and were giving away small balloons to the children and ladies. Apparently, those ballons are tickets to the photo booth and gave them chances to win an iPad2. So where's mine? :)

Around 2PM, Honda riders from Cavite, Tagaytay and Manila started to pile up and registered in the booth. And then it happened, I saw one of the most beautiful faces in the country, Andi Manzano (yeah men!). I was stunned because she really looks good in person. But will she be hosting? I double checked my program and for sure I saw Grace Lee as the host. Nevertheless, its a win-win! :)

Around 3PM, the Voice Over Guy started to welcome everyone in attendance and played the Scoopy song over and over and over. To tell you honestly, I got LSS on the Scoopy Jingle. Then Andi was introduced to the crowd and she started the show with her usual hosting energy.

Andi introduced the HPI's Sales and Marketing Manager Sandy Julaton. After a few words and he presented the new Honda Scoopy Scooter, a vespa inspired, 110cc, four stroke scooter which is the main course of the said event.
The introduced the contestants from the four schools that joined the THE SCOOTER PROJECT (Interschool Scooter Design Competition), where Honda gave UP, UST, Asia Pacific College and College of St. Benilde a Scoopy each and let them design it for a week or so.

As the race started, I got the chance to take pictures of one of the judges, Nicole Anderson and the host, Andi Manzano with the Scoopy.

And then I got hungry! :)
Food courtesy of Italianni's
Should I say more, the Sicilian Chicken Salad and the Fish fillet was a 10/10 matched with Dalandan juice! Burp!
After the food, I went to Honda's riding simulation and tested the machine using the manual transmission setting and crashed on the first curve! I have been riding motorcycles all my life and got a couple of accidents but not on the first curve.
The Scooter project contestants were already placed in their pedestals.
Some more pictures of the on going Amazing Race.
Around 5PM, Moonstar88 joined the fun and had a mini concert. Singing songs like "Torete", Eraserheads' "Sembreak", Yano's "Esem" and many more.
There was a 30 minute intermission after the band's performance that gave way to me stretching and taking a breather on this very tiring but enjoying event. At around 7PM, the voice over echoed the start of the second and the most important part of the program. The unveiling of the Honda Scoopy. But prior to the start of the main program, the race master awarded the winners of the Amazing Race which was won by the Yellow Team.

The G-Force Dancers started with a dance number and introduced the hosts of the night, two-thirds of the infamous Boys Night Out, SamYG and Slick Rick.

They also introduced Mr. Katsuhisa Yoda, General Manager of HPI.
And then to the main course, the unveiling of the Honda Scoopy with its endorsers, Rock Icon Ramon "RJ" Jacinto and Model Patti Grandidge.
RJ Jacinto also sang the jingle live with Mr. Yoda as one of his guitarist and the Bloomfield Brothers. They also sang twist and shout and a couple more songs.

After that the winners of the Scooter Contest was announced and it was a close fight with UP and UST but the later prevailed as they won via the votes of the attendees of the event.
The party ended with the Bloom Brothers dishing out rock classics from the 60's and a fireworks show at the middle of Bonifacio High Street.
After the event, they gave us our freebies and bloggers were invited to Italianni's (again) to have dinner! Again, its a burp!

Overall, Honda did a magnificent job in the launch of their latest scooter. I just wondered if we can have these little devils tested so we can compare with comparable market make and models. See you in the next event but now I leave you with the LSS jingle from RJ Jacinto (thanks to http://crumpyliciousblog.blogspot.com/)
