Food Review - Leslie's Tagaytay City

Leslie’s Restaurant, Tagaytay City, Philippines
Food Fiesta Park inc. Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City

We ordered Inihaw na Tuna Belly, Inihaw na Liempo, Sizzling pork sisig and our visit in Tagaytay is not complete if Bulalo is not included in the course.

Food:

*Inihaw na Tuna Belly (small): It was cooked the way we wanted it. The juiciness of the tuna belly was maintained.

*Inihaw na Liempo: The pork was undercooked and I thought that I was chewing a gum. This was our first time that we visited Leslie’s after 3 years. We tried to order the same dish 3 years ago and unfortunately it was undercooked. I was the one ordered the inihaw na liempo just to give them a second chance but they failed, again.

*Sizzling Pork Sisig: I’m a big sisig fan and even though the pork was slightly overcooked, everything went well as far as the sisig.

*Bulalo (Special): What I noticed with the bulalo is that you can count how many vegetables were put on it. 4 pieces of Baguio Beans, 2 Pechay Baguio leaves, 3 Pechay tagalog Leaves, 2 little pieces of corn in a cob and a potato. You don’t have to worry about the vegetables if you’re just for the soup.

The Taste of food was superb but because inihaw na liempo was undercooked, made me give this a 3 out 5 of stars.

Ambiance:

Dining tables and chairs were made of unique cuts of woods. Great ambiance, Jairah (my daughter) was dancing at her high chair while seating when she heard the Manongs and the Manangs singing "Rolling in the Deep" as part of the entertainment for the customers. I was amazed and asked my wife “ Si ate ba ung kumakanta?”.

The whole dining area is overlooking the ever amusing beauty of the Taal Volcano.

5 of 5 stars for Ambiance

Service:

Waiters and other crews were courteous but there are some lapses with the services.

We asked for Calamansi, condiments and serving saucer 3 times to 3 different waiters before we received our request.

We asked for 4 glasses of water twice. We even asked 4 different waiters to have our leftovers for takeout after they bussed it out of the dining area. Lastly, I asked for the bill 3 times before a waiter responded to it and handed us the bill.

2 of 5 stars

Budget:

We spent Php 2250.00 for 4 viands, a family serving of steamed rice and 4 drinks.

Overall:

3.5 out of 5 stars

If you are looking for good food, great view of the Taal Volcano and you’re not in a hurry, I recommend Leslie’s Restaurant Tagaytay City.

This review was made around 3pm-4pm. Service may be different on peak hours like lunch and dinner time.
